One of the WW Staples! Zero point marinara is so easy and perfect to keep on hand for busy weeks or in the freezer for a last minute meal! Perfect for pasta, pizza, dipping sauce and calzones, you can’t go wrong with this marinara sauce!
2 large cans crushed tomatoes (Just 1 is fine too!)
1 can diced tomatoes
1/2 large yellow onion
1 Tbsp minced garlic (if you have it!)
1/2 can (or 3oz) Tomato Paste
4-6 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
3 Tbsp Dried Parsley
2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
Salt & Pepper to taste
Start by cooking down your onion on a medium-high heat, until translucent and soft. Add minced garlic if you have it and let that cook with the onion for 1 minute. Combine all ingredients in your crock pot or large pot on the stove and let it simmer on a low heat for at least an hour but up to 6 hours! I stir it occasionally, but that’s not necessary – especially when using your crock pot!
